Dr. O'Connell is a doctor of acupuncture & oriental medicine and has been practicing in Napa for over ten years.  She obtained her doctorate and master's degrees at  Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, specializing in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.  She is licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and nationally certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine  (NCCAOM).  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
 

Lynn's extensive training in Oriental Medicine included internships with a holistic pediatrician in the Bay Area, the Hematology/Oncology and Chronic Pain Departments at Rady's Children's Hospital, and the San Diego Cancer Center.  She also worked in a team with doctors and dentists to help provide treatments to the under-served population at a free clinic.  Dr. O'Connell was featured in this Napa Valley Register article.
 

Lynn treats a wide range of conditions using acupuncture and herbs, from seasonal illnesses like colds and flu to immune disorders, fatigue, pain management and anxiety.  She takes a holistic approach to health and looks at the body as a whole.  The goal of acupuncture is not only to alleviate symptoms but also to treat the underlying cause.  Lynn also specializes in fertility and reproductive health and is passionate about assisting couples along their path to get pregnant and during pregnancy.   

Marcelo is a Certified Massage Therapist in the state of California, as well as a teacher and trainer for other therapists.  He is also nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).  With over 20 years of experience both nationally and internationally, practicing in the United States, Europe and Argentina, Marcelo has had the opportunity to study and develop many different modalities working with great teachers and colleagues.  His vast experience includes working with chiropractors, luxury spas, private fitness studios, and directly with athletes in conjunction with their training.   

Marcelo specializes in therapeutic and sports massage, using techniques such as structural assessment, neuromuscular techniques, trigger and motor points, and myofascial release with active movement. These modalities help to reset muscle function with the brain through nerve receptors, optimizing them to allow maximum performance and injury prevention.  His therapeutic massages are performed in such a way as to allow for simultaneous relaxation, an optimal combination to provide lasting pain relief and ultimate well-being.  Read more about Marcelo in this Napa Valley Register article.
